Dr Nicola Flood
Clinical Psychologist

I am endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA and have experience working in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings both in the public and private sectors. I provide evidence-based treatment using a person-centred approach, which means that I will work in collaboration with you to tailor treatment to your individual needs and desires, and will progress at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, and as such, use a trauma-informed approach to create a supportive, non-judgemental, and safe environment for you to share your thoughts and feelings.

I am trained in and have implemented a variety of evidence-based psychological treatments including Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), interpersonal therapy, and motivational interviewing.

I am also an LGBTQIA+ affirmative clinician who has experience supporting individuals to explore their sexuality and gender identity, including assisting with the gender transition process.

My aim in therapy is to create a space in which we can work together to improve your life by reducing your symptoms, improving your overall functioning and helping you to feel empowered and fulfilled.
